IRS Extends Reporting Deadlines

14 Jan IRS Extends Reporting Deadlines

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has extended the reporting requirements of forms 1094 and 1095 (Affordable Care Act mandated coverage reports). Employers filing their 1094 forms electronically, now have until June 30, 2016 (initial deadline was March 31, 2016) and those filing by paper now have until May 31, 2016 (initial deadline was February 29, 2016). Additionally, the deadline for providing employees their 1095 forms is now March 31, 2016 (initial deadline was February 1, 2016).

REAL will continue to monitor this situation and work with all of the appropriate parties to help ensure compliance with these deadlines for all clients.
